I found the hotel to be a peaceful stay between the Rovers stadium and the park. The rooms were spacious and the shower worked well, although there were no bedside lights. The staff was pleasant and the hotel felt quiet, but the location could use some sprucing up.

I prepaid for the dining, which was good despite arriving after the finishing time. The breakfast area could do with a little TLC.

5.2/10
The hotel definitely needs some updating, with room maintenance issues such as a missing shower curtain, peeling paint, and unpleasant odors. It seemed tired and in need of some tender loving care. Despite not meeting cleanliness expectations and showing signs of wear, the friendly service and convenient location were notable highlights.

The hotel rooms were great and clean, staff are really friendly, but having only one plug socket per room was disappointing. The card locks were extremely frustrating, as I could never get into my room due to them. Rooms had a fusty smell, but they were equipped with tea and coffee, a hairdryer, and a good size TV.
Rooms
7.0
My room was lovely, although the one plug socket per room was disappointing. The room had a fusty smell, and the card locks were extremely frustrating as I couldn't get in at times. However, the room was great and clean with friendly staff.
Service
9.0
The staff were excellent, helpful, smiling, and patient. They were extremely helpful when I had a little problem, which they sorted immediately. Additionally, they could have been more helpful by allowing us to lock bikes on the premises.
Location
8.0
The location was great, comfy bed and next door to the Hungry Horse restaurant. We were late arriving, and the staff ensured we got directly into our room. It was a fantastic place next to the motorway. However, it's situation was very poor and hard to switch off with scalding water gushing.
Dining
5.0
The dining experience was nice, with plenty of choice. However, the freshly prepared salads were not freshly cooked and extremely poor value for money. When we wanted to pay for breakfast, it was not a great experience, and I'd suggest avoiding booking it for £7.50 pp.
Facilities
6.0
I was surprised to be greeted by a lovely large car park with neatly attended pot plants in front of Fernhurst Lodge. The facilities could have been better, as some issues like only having one plug socket per room were disappointing for the overall experience.
